Newly reappointed manager Andy Farrell has selected captain Caelan Doris in his Ireland squad for the fall matches, however Joe McCarthy is absent.
Doris, absent from play since having a shoulder operation in the start of May, recently returned to Leinster training, though his fitness is uncertain if he will be fit to face New Zealand in the US on 1 November.
Second row McCarthy, on the other hand, did not make the cut after failing to recover from the foot issue he sustained during the first Lions match against the Wallabies in July.
Northern province player Izuchukwu and southern province winger Calvin Nash are also absent because of fitness concerns, and full-back Hugo Keenan was previously excluded after undergoing a hip operation following the summer tour.
Leinster forward Paddy McCarthy - the brother of Joe - is the only uncapped player in the 34-man squad, but the Irish Rugby Football Union states new Munster pair Edogbo and Brian Gleeson and previously capped western province winger Shayne Bolton will travel to the US as "reserves".
Following playing the All Blacks at the Chicago stadium in a rematch of their 2016 encounter, the team will play Japan, the Wallabies and world title holders South Africa in the Irish capital.
"It's an exciting group to the panel and there's an opportunity for the more experienced members and for the newcomers on the recent tour to the Lelos and the Lobos," said Farrell, back to Ireland duty after a break to lead the British and Irish Lions to the southern hemisphere.
In a mostly experienced squad, the Dublin club's Prendergast and Munster's Jack Crowley will once again compete for the first-choice number 10 position. The number 10 jersey is remains available, with Prendergast and Crowley set to play against each other for the first time in the upcoming URC game at the Dublin venue.
Frawley is the additional number 10 selected as the coach opting against calling up the province's Byrne.
At number 9, the Ireland boss has picked British and Irish Lion Jamison Gibson-Park and Casey, who led the national side to the summer Test victories over the Lelos and Portugal. Additionally, there is a return for the western province's Blade, who is preferred to club-mate Ben Murphy.
Henshaw, Aki, Ringrose and Stuart McCloskey represent an veteran group of midfield options. Jamie Osborne is another option in the midfield, but the 23-year-old is also a frontrunner to deputise for Keenan at full-back.
Wingers James Lowe, Hansen, O'Brien and Jacob Stockdale are included. O'Brien shone on his first Ireland outings during the summer with two tries apiece in the wins over the Lelos and Portugal.
McCarthy is the sole fresh addition in the Ireland forwards. The loose-head prop has started two of Leinster's URC United Rugby Championship matches this season and played in the second string's loss by the English in the English city previously.
The 22-year-old was included in caretaker coach O'Connell's summer selection, but did not earn a cap.
Munster second row Ahern, who earned his debut appearances in those matches, is kept in the squad, while veteran Northern province second row Iain Henderson is back after missing the summer tour.
Jack Conan, who started all three Lions Tests during the tour, is set to cover for Doris should the captain does not regain fitness in time to face New Zealand.
The national team will meet in the capital on the start of the week before traveling to Chicago on the following day.
